About Villa Della Rosa Bed and Breakfast

Nori and Detlef Hasenbein are the third owners of Villa della Rosa Bed and Breakfast. Having been born in Germany, the mountain, and especially the Mediterranean style of Villa della Rosa, appealed to them and in 2007 they purchased the Villa as a way to ‘retire’ early and get out of the rat race of retail shops.

The first year was predominantly spent in bringing the Villa up to a 4.5 star AAA tourism standard. All rooms were completely stripped and redecorated with new beds, furniture and fittings, new floors and of course new paint.

Detlef still enjoys tinkering around the house and garden and making everything look perfect. Currently the courtyard is getting a complete overhaul, with new tiles, balustrades and Tuscan paint.

Nori (with the occasional help of a backpacker) is keeping the interior spotless and the edible garden lush and green.

Depending on season, guests can indulge in exotic fruits for breakfast and the eggs are from happy chooks running around in the backyard.
